5 Most Convoluted Video Game Storylines That Completely F**ks Up The Timeline

One of the hardest thing while making a game is to create a good storyline and most importantly maintaining that proper storyline and while some games really have a managed story throughout the series. But There are some franchises that just completely f**ks the storyline and today we are counting most convoluted video games storylines.

Castlevania

This definitely isn’t kid friendly. And yet the violence and gore serves the story, one that’s not about a simple action-packed adventure of a trio of heroes wandering the Wallachian countryside, but the very real battle of complex heroes fighting for what’s right and protecting the innocent from darkness, death, and ignorance. – Collider Dave Trumbore

Bleak, bold, blackhearted, brutal and very, very bloody, Netflix’s Castlevania is an uneven, weirdly paced but vividly realized and often captivating anime adaptation, one that propels the video game genre to newfound heights and a promising, if very short, glimpse at the show’s potential. – Will Ashton

Gruesome, bloody, and (for most of its runtime) mostly devoid of hope, Castlevania doesn’t skimp on darkness. It never quite reaches the demented highs of its pillar-of-hellfire pilot, but by season’s end, there’s a clear mission statement for arriving at a slightly more optimistic future. – Steve Greene

Tomb Raider

Lara’s origin story is a terrific, action-packed experience with stunning visuals that sadly has not much to do with her previous adventures. Yet the puzzle physics are cool, the exploration of the island is rewarding and the much-improved combat is easily one of the biggest steps forward for the series – too bad there is sometimes too much of it. – PC Games

When you’re actually allowed to play, the game is pretty fun. The problem is they have this nasty habit of throwing in awful QTEs all over the place, some of which just require flat out memorization of the sequence to get through. I’m docking points for that alone, because they should have known better. – Tridus

More of a movie than a game. More of a console than PC game. Quick Time events can get annoying and cutscenes are overused. Visually appealing, yet not optimal for PC gamers. – Liquidlizard

Mortal Kombat

The series has always ridden in the wake of its own spectacle, but after years of unfocused deviation, we finally have an evolution that demonstrates clear progress. It’s the best 3D game in the series by a long way, and that’s because it embraces the 2D heritage which always made Mortal Kombat its own kind of game. – Eurogamer

Hype, nostalgia, the KKK (Krazy Kombo Kombat) are the things that contribute to MK9’s success. The truth however; is that it’s not at all as kool as the original arcade games. In fact, it’s tainted with nerdiness. It will get your average teenage noob through the weekend, but the truth is it’s no way to enjoy your weekend. I am so looking forward to the day the classics are ported to XBLA/ PSN so everyone can see what it’s like to have your beer and enjoy it too. – MachoHombre

The sad fact is Williams is at his best while trapped in Andrew’s original sleek form. His performance is subtle, his reactions restrained. The more Robin is exposed, the more ham is served. – Bicentennial Man

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of The Liberty

OK, you guys are fans of the series, solid snake is a decently cool character, but this game is trash, absolute utter total trash. the storyline is so ridiculously convoluted and just plain silly that any and all redeeming features of the gameplay (and there are a few, but really not that many) are flooded with bad feelings. the cut scenes drag on for ages, explaining, and re-explaining the mostridiculous justifications for the most non-sensical twists. – PaulF.

10 for addictive game play, first half plot, and graphics. 5 for preachy religious story line towards the end. – B.S.

SOL’s storyline (and this is being generous) is woefully inept, consisting of such high-calibre nonsense that there’s absolutely no point following it. –TotalGames.net

Legend Of Zelda – Breath Of The Wild

This isn’t your typical boiler plate open world cash grab, rife with to-do lists and busywork. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an evolution of the formula for both eastern and western philosophies alike, and a new blueprint. – Destructoid

The most freeform Zelda yet, without sacrificing the charm, fun or quality you expect from the series. Nintendo’s finest work since Super Mario Galaxy – GamesRadar+

The new Zelda game is so big and so full of everything that it’s impossible to write about all of that in a traditional review. Breath of the Wild is a true system seller, probably the best starting game in the history of gaming. Nintendo is back and if only this quality of game design is maintained, Switch will become THE console. No question. – GRYOnline.pl
