Worst And Most Pathetic Things That Are Ruining Video Games

Video games have come a long way and we have seen the graphics, gameplay improving drastically. But modern gaming introduced some of the worst mechanics and some cheap moves made by publishers that are ruining the video game industry.

Spending Money To Improve Stats

In good old days of gaming, everybody used to unlock stuff by playing new levels or defeating enemies in a particular level just to unlock new outfits, weapons etc.

But now it’s not the same case anymore you don’t have to defeat the enemies to unlock new stuff or you don’t have to grind your way through to get on a particularly high level. Now in games like Blacks ops III you can buy new weapons spending real money also in Star Wars Battlefront you can pay real money to buy in-game items. For me personally, it is ridiculous to spend real money on games to get in-game weapons or outfits. Why are you even playing the game if you can do anything in the game by just buying it?

Payday 2 is the best example of this pathetic practice you can improve your stats and you also gain more XP by just spending real life money.  Payday 2 is a multiplayer Co-op game in which everybody wants to compete but it creates an imbalance between players who plays to get high stats or players that pay real life money to increase their stats.

Health Regeneration

You think you are dying in the intense battle of gunfight now what? No problem game got you covered just hide behind a cover for 15 seconds or just try to run away from the enemy because in 15 seconds you will regenerate all your health.

This is literally one of the worst things in Games like Call Of Duty, Battlefield and Uncharted. It kills the sense of Competition or the fear of death because sooner or later you will gain your health back.

This is why games like Dark Souls are so popular because of the fear of death players have while playing against a boss they can’t hide or run to regenerate health they have to face the enemy with health they have. Thankfully Call Of Duty WW2 will be ditching the Health Regeneration.

Early Access

Early access is a very good opportunity for game devs to improve their game according to players feedback but it’s not like that. But some devs took early access into the wrong direction they just take early access as a marketing method for the game. Steam is filled with half-baked early access survival games.

Peter Molyneux’s Godus was the game that received a lot of attention and tons of people backed the game on Kickstarted to get the full complete version. But it never happened what we got was a broken unfinished game it was nothing like how the Peter promised it to be.

Early Access is an amazing but some devs are ruining this for everyone.

Super Vision

X-ray vision or Night vision or the superpower to see through walls sounds really cool but it does not really make the game fun or exciting. Assassins creed introduced this feature as “Eagle Vision” which was pretty cool and it still works in the Assassins Creed World.

The problem with this is that games like Last of Us and Hitman actually uses this feature which is totally nonsensical to me because Joel (Protagonist Of Last Of Us) is just a normal human being, not a superhero who has the power to look through walls.

I Think this feature only works best in Batman because we all know Batman is a superhero who has all kind of fancy power and X-ray vision is one of them as he has the tech to actually see the enemies through the walls it makes sense. In every other game, this feature is not good as it makes your player as a god.
